When Jaime Riestra and Patricia Ortiz Monasterio founded an art gallery in their Mexico City home in 1983, they hardly imagined that a few years later, OMR would become one of the main influences of the Mexican and Latinamerican art scene. Since they moved their headquarters to the Roma neighborhood in 1984, OMR has proven itself a pioneer in the exhibition and exportation of Mexican contemporary art, presenting proposals by avant-garde artists who have now become international icons of contemporary art. This book presents over thirty years of history put together through biographical narratives, academic texts, archival documents, suggestive visual material and the testimonies of many who have shared experiences with the gallery: artists, collectors, curators, gallery owners, heads of institutions, etc. It includes texts by Osvaldo Sánchez, Guillermo Santamarina, Teresa Eckmann, Daniel Garza Usabiaga, Víctor Palacios, Patricia Ortiz Monasterio and Jaime Riestra, among others.
