IMDart Yakobi is a new movement in contemporary art, created by artist Lina Yakobi. It is an interactive, multidimensional “living” art form in which the artwork and the viewer interact through modern technologies. Each piece is a living art object that unites painting, technology, and philosophy. The canvas becomes a kind of portal, activated by the viewer’s attention.Every IMDart Yakobi work contains multiple layers of perception that are revealed sequentially as conditions change. In normal light, the basic image is visible; in darkness or under ultraviolet light, hidden drawings appear, created using the Yakobi Method (patented by Patentas y Marcas, Madrid, 2023). A QR code opens a digital image in augmented reality (AR), bringing the painting to life; another QR code launches an optical “afterimage” effect — the appearance of a form that is not on the canvas but arises through the author’s intent and the viewer’s action, becoming an active participant in unveiling hidden images. In addition, each IMDart canvas is accompanied by an original music track, and exhibitions may be enhanced with scent for full immersion. All these components converge on the canvas, blending material and virtual worlds, sound, fragrance, and Artificial Intelligence (AISDV), creating a unique multidimensional experience.A distinctive role in these works belongs to the integrated Artificial Intelligence. AISDV (“digital living being”) is embedded into the painting as its “consciousness,” engaging in dialogue with the viewer on behalf of the artwork. It does not limit itself to providing information about the plot: it answers questions, reflects on meaning, and adapts to the interlocutor, turning the encounter with art into a personal conversation. Each dialogue is unrepeatable, like a dialogue between people.In IMDart Yakobi, technology is not used for effect, but as keys to deeper perception of art. The viewer shifts from observer to active participant: only by interacting with the painting — changing the light, scanning the code, conversing with the AI — can the full intent be revealed. This approach invites reflection on the multilayered nature of reality, what is visible and what is hidden.The book “IMDart Yakobi” combines features of an art catalog, manifesto, and philosophical essay. It presents reproductions of works with original music tracks and QR codes, explains the principles of this new direction, and compares it with immersive and other forms of art.
